How to Select and Develop Great Teachers

This workshop is designed to enable school leaders to acquire a basic understanding about the study of excellence in the attitudes, skills and behaviors of teachers striving for excellence. During the two-day introductory workshop, participants will acquire specific skills that will better equip them for selecting excellent teachers. Teacher Refresher Training
Individuals who have received certification in the Ventures for Excellence Selection and Development interviewing process are encouraged to attend a refresher workshop annually. This one-day workshop is designed to refine participants’ skills in order for them to remain sharp and consistent in the selection of teachers.

How to Strive for Excellence as a Teacher

This growth and planning workshop is geared toward teachers who are striving for excellence. Participants will develop an in-depth awareness of excellent teacher attitudes, skills and behaviors. During the workshop, participants will go through a personal assessment, have time for reflection, and develop growth plans. The experiences will make a profound impact on teachers who wish to excel as a facilitator of student growth.

This workshop is designed to enable school leaders to quickly identify a prospective principal’s sense of purpose, relationship skills, approaches to staff development and general management skills. How to Strive for Excellence as a Principal

Studied in this workshop are the life themes of excellent principals that have been identified through extensive research. These themes demonstrate how the best principals consistently behave and characteristic tendencies that have proven to be excellent. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to gauge themselves in relation to these life themes.

How to Select Outstanding Frontline Professionals

The focus of this workshop is in the selection and development of excellent frontline professionals. 35 percent of school employees fall into this category which includes secretaries, custodians, bus drivers, cooks and other non-certified school employees. Throughout the workshop, participants will gain knowledge and skills which will enable them to quickly identify the prospective employee’s mission, relationship skills and willingness to take self-responsibility. How to Encourage Excellent Attitudes and Behaviors Among Teachers

This workshop is designed to equip principals with highly successful strategies to work collaboratively and effectively with top performing teachers. Focus is placed on developing the principal’s skill of further enhancing teachers’ sense of purpose, human relation skills, teaching strategies and intended learner outcomes.

School Board/Superintendent Development

This workshop aims at solidifying the concept of excellence for school board members as a team and what this “looks and feels like” within school districts. Emphasizes team collaborative action planning to set short, intermediate and long term goals and establish methods of measuring each.

Building School-Parent Cooperatives

This workshop presents the opportunity for school professionals to learn key team building approaches to foster positive relationships and cooperation between parents and educators to create a strong partnership to become increasingly effective in the educational development of children.

Achieving Excellence as a School Superintendent

This workshop is designed to study in-depth the life themes of outstanding school superintendents. Special emphasis is devoted to how excellent superintendents carry out such life themes through actions, consistent behaviors and attitudes. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to gauge themselves in relation to these life themes.
